Found this on Boing Boing. It’s the same kind of crap the US is trying to pull in the name of national security or “Fighting terrists” This kind of crap needs to be exposed for what it is - a way for governments to gain additional control over their citizens.

Back in the Cold War days, we used to oppose these policies as they were implemented by the oppressive communist regimes - they were used as an example of how the evil commies were controlling the citizens and taking away their freedom. Now the “good guys” are doing exactly the same thing. And it pisses me off.
